Note: My theory (hopefully to be conirmed soon) concerning the relationship between the leaf shape and the involucral bract color is that plants that have the toothed type leaves (see above) have the lighter colored involucral bracts (top right photo) and plants with the lobed type leaves have the darker maroon colored involucral bracts (top left photo).
